Dear Handsome,
I really need to discuss my situation with you. We have not had any contact for over five weeks. You leave on Sat. and I leave for Madrid with the SecDef on Monday returning the 14th of July. I am then heading out to Los Angeles for a few days. If I do not speak to you before I leave, when I return it will have been two months since we last spoke. Please do not do this. I feel disposable, used and insignificant. I understand your hands are tied but I want to talk to you and look at some options. I am begging you one last time to please let me visit briefly Tuesday evening. I will call Betty Tuesday afternoon to see if it is o.k.

Is this the actual letter sent, or a draft? Odd to think she might have sent it in this for... It loses some of its punch when the crossings out are included!
whoah
i love the fact that "i feel used, disposable and insignificant" is an in-between liner. says it all
You've got to appreciate the woman's cunning... everything from the 'Dear Handsome' to (probably) keeping the drafts must have been done to create a useful and incriminating audit trail.
I hope the Republican party are still doing the decent thing and supporting her financially...
I think the transcript would be better served by incorporating the strikethroughs, as they reveal a lot of her mental state.
It is highly unlikely that this is a letter by Monica Lewinsky. You are all so gullible! Haven't you ever heard of forgeries/fraud?
I don't think that Ken Starr was in the business of making forgeries. He had plenty to work with.
Amazing that American history was significantly changed because of this tryst. Not sure what that says about us.
Sounds real enough, I've read several letters like this before.
Actually, monkeyface, you need to rephrase that. "Not sure what it says about Republicans." They are, after all, the ones who spent more taxpayer money to try and impeach Clinton for his affair than they spent on the 9/11 Commission. MUCH MORE MONEY.
TLM,
The Republicans could have saved a great deal of money if Clinton had owned up to his transgressions from the get-go.
As for history being changed by a romantic affair: The entire Anglican religion was formed on a tryst, too. This is nothing in comparison!
There is a slight error in the transcript. The sentence should read: "Please do not do this to me."
Some how the "to me" got left out.
Isn't it nice. Documentation for the moral failing of a Democratic President provides ammunition for Republican bashing. Amazing.
